All Outstanding Quotes and Commitments Will Be Honored
HNE is proud of the success we’ve had in developing innovative
products that meet the diverse needs and the expectations of
our customers. Planning, development, and implementation are
all important steps to introducing new products, but the key to
successful innovation is the ongoing evaluation that takes place
after the product hits the market. This process reflects HNE’s
core commitment to delivering high quality and value to our
customers.
In 2007, HNE introduced the HNE Alliance Network, a select group
of primary care physicians working with our current network of
specialists and hospitals. In 2008, we expanded the number
of products offered with the HNE Alliance Network. Products
paired with the Alliance Network are a very appealing option for
employers, allowing them to take advantage of lower premiums
without reducing benefits or increasing member cost sharing.
As a result, HNE has experienced a high demand for HNE Alliance
Network plans.
In light of the popularity of the HNE Alliance Network plans, and
in consideration of our commitment to quality, HNE has decided
to temporarily suspend sales of these plans. This will give us an
opportunity to evaluate and fine-tune our internal processes,
member education vehicles, and the health care delivery system
for these plans. We will begin selling these plans again when we
are certain that they will meet our customers’ expectations and
our own high standards for quality and access to care. HNE will
continue to honor those quotes we have already made for these
plans; however, no new quotes will be issued for HNE Alliance
Network plans.
