HNE is now participating with HealthCare Administrative Solutions, Inc. (HCAS) (http://www.hcasma.org/) for provider credentialing.  HCAS consists of seven Massachusetts health plans that have formed a common credentialing initiative.   These plans will now be using an online Mass Uniform Application found on the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) website (https://caqh.geoaccess.com/oas/).  

For HNE Providers, this changes our process of sending out and accepting paper applications.  It will not change any current contracting or enrollment criteria. Provider offices with requests for credentialing now should send in the Provider Credentialing Request Form (http://www.hne.com/HNE_providers/CredApplicationRequest.pdf), instead of the paper application.   The form consists of the fields required to begin the CAQH application process.  Once HNE Provider Credentialing receives the form, we will notify CAQH and CAQH will contact the provider with instructions for online application.
